For the record, we had a very quick visit at 5:45 am this morning from what looked like the same Magnificent we have seen on two previous occasions: Aug 15 and Aug 17. It came in to look at our feeders, quickly turned around and disappeared. This was similar to its behavior on August 17. From these three visits of an identical looking bird, we think it is possible that it has bred here in the area this year, rather than our sightings being that of three different migrants or dispersants.
