Yesterday I spotted a female MacGillivray's Warbler in the vegetation adjacent to the Arkansas River along the Canon City Riverwalk. I returned this morning and found a female MacGillivray's in the same place so expect it is the same bird stopping over to feed and rest. I have posted photos of this bird on my Birds and Nature blog. When I saw her today there were several other warbler's actively feeding with her including a Wilson's and at least one Yellow.
Also in the vegetation they were in was a Northern Waterthrush that appeared to be grooming itself. I got some very nice photos of this bird that are also on my blog.
There have been a good number of migrating Wilson's Warblers, some Yellow Warblers and Western Tanagers along the Canon City Riverwalk the past 3 days.
