A Freudian slip on my part after fond Galapagos conversations entailing smooth ones. 100% a groove billed ani in JeffCo as evidenced by the many photos of a bird with a very groovy bill. The hourly rare bird alerts had already gone out before the error was brought to my attention.

A Smooth-billed Ani was just reported on eBird from the Jefferson County location. Can anyone confirm that this is a Groove-billed Ani and not Smooth-billed Ani? Thanks.
