[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Report, 10/12/24

We continue with what seems to be our fall line-up of species.  Only "surprises" were  our 4th Yellow-rumped Warbler of the season (always a variable species, but we haven't had fewer than 20 since 2014) and our 1st Clay-colored Sparrow.  Here's the full list of today's 21 new birds:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Hermit Thrush 2
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Myrtle 1
Clay-colored Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 10
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

Weather permitting, we are banding Tuesday through Sunday mornings (closed Mondays).  There is a public session most weekday mornings from 7:30-8:30, and three time slots on weekends, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m.  There is a $7 fee and registration is required – click here to register!

Let me know if you have any questions,
