[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies- Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station Report- October 1, 2024

The temperature was nice today. However, bird numbers were not great. We caught a Spotted Towhee which was a highlight for me. No Wilson's Warblers heard or observed at the banding station today.

13 New Banded Birds
Orange-crowned Warbler- 2
Audubon's (Yellow-rumped) Warbler- 3
Myrtle (Yellow-rumped) Warbler- 1
Oregon Junco- 3
Hermit Thrush- 3
Spotted Towhee- 1

2 Recaptures- both of which gained weight from their last capture
Hermit Thrush
Oregon Junco

I am still hoping for a couple more good bird days this week. We shall see if they materialize.
The banding station will be open this week through Friday from Sunrise until @ 11:45.
Stop by and report your sightings when you are on the ranch.

Remember to go to the Aiken Audubon Society website to register for birding access to the Ranch.

Have a good day,
