[cobirds] Walden-Sawhill area: eBird reporting

PLEASE reference the nearest lake (numbers 1-16 plus a few named lakes) when reporting a bird sighting in this area!!!  There is a map by the parking lot at both the Walden and at Sawhill Pond trailheads. Take a picture of the map with your phone so you know where you are at all times.

For instance, lake 16 is the one where the osprey platform is located.  Named lakes include Duck Pond, Cottonwood Marsh, Weiser Pond, etc.  Most warbler sightings are in the woods just east of Boulder Creek.

Most sightings are on the Sawhill Ponds (city open space) property simply because it is much larger than Walden.  I am the ecosteward for Sawhill ponds and keep track of all bird, mammal, reptile sightings there.  Walden Ponds is Boulder county open space property.

FYI:  If you say that you saw a Spotted Sandpiper by lake 5, I will know right where to go and will know the sighting was on Boulder City Open Space.

Thank you!
