Thanks Joe and Chuck for letting us know. Laura and I had only made one trip with her to Nebraska to see the sandhill cranes quite a few years ago and it was a fun trip.

We were saddened to learn that Jackie King, long term DFO member, trip leader and Ptarmigan Awardee
is quite ill and after a long struggle is now receiving "comfort care only." She expressed the wish that birders be notified.
I visited her this morning and left a card on behalf of her birding friends. She is sleeping comfortably.
