[cobirds] South Platte Reservoir and Park

Wished I could have done the CBC, but I had just a couple of hours that opened up this afternoon.

South Platte Reservoir had two LONG-TAILED DUCKS, presumably continuing. Nice assortment of other ducks. A PRAIRIE FALCON flew over going south.

Along the river in South Platte Park I saw an adult PEREGRINE FALCON flying north over the river corridor. I was sort of surprised to have two KILLDEER fly in and land on the ice at Redtail Lake. A juv. BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON flushed up along the river. A WOOD DUCK flew down river, and otherwise the waterfowl blend was the usual. Also noted 2 BALD EAGLES and 1 NORTHERN SHRIKE.
