ADAMS COUNTY:
--On December 9 Breitsch reported 2 m Barrow's Goldeneyes on the South Platte near the teal water Tank S of 88th. On December 12, Breitsch reported several Barrow's Goldeneyes near 88th and South Platte.
--On December 10, Breitsch reported a Harris's Sparrow along the South Platte between 74th and 78th.
BOULDER COUNTY:
--An Ovenbird was reported by Schmoker in his backyard in Longmont on November 21 thru December 10. If you would like to try to see it, call Bill at 720-201-5749 for update and directions. On December 8, Partin reported seeing the Ovenbird in Longmont.
--An ad GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was reported by Nunes in the Teller Farm parking lot off Valmont on December 12.
--On December 13 at Valmont Reservoir, Kaempfer reported TUNDRA SWAN and Dowell reported ad Thayer's Gull and ad Lesser Black-backed Gull.
DENVER COUNTY:
--A possible f Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Matthew Baker under the Speer Bridge of Confluence Park on December 12.
DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--A m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Kibbe at Chatfield SP near NW boat launch on December 7.
--An ad GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported by Kellner on the ice by the Marina at Chatfield SP on December 8.
--A Long-tailed Duck and 2 Red-necked Grebes were reported by Walbek at Chatfield SP, looking N and W from Fisherman's pier on December 8.
--On December 10, Suddjian reported Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield SP.
EL PASO COUNTY:
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Farese along the Rainbow Gulch Tail off Rampart Road on December 13.
FREMONT COUNTY:
--A m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Rich Miller at Rouse Park in Canon City on December 12.
GARFIELD COUNTY:
--A 1st winter Harris's Sparrow was reported by Filby in his backyard on December 12- 14. If you would like to try to see it e-mail him at dickfilby AT hotmail.com
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On December 7, Henwood reported GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and 9 Rosy-Finches (4 Black, 3 Gray-crowned, 1 Brown-capped) at Red Rocks Trading Post.
--On December 10, Keithler reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at South Platte Reservoir and Suddjian reported 3 Long-tailed Ducks at South Platte Reservoir. On December 11, Arnold reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at South Platte Reservoir. On December 14, Suddjian reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at South Platte Reservoir.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--An ad m VARIED THRUSH was reported by Sean Walters in his yard in Loveland on December 5 through 14. If you would like to try to see the bird contact him at waltersintherockies AT gmail.com for updates and directions.
--On December 10, Rashid reported all three species of Rosy-Finches have been visiting his yard. If you would like to try for the Rosy-Finches contact Scott at pygmyowl AT frii.com for an update and directions.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
--An ad TRUMPETER SWAN was reported by Percival at Pueblo Reservoir on December 8.
--On December 11 at South Shore Marina of Pueblo Reservoir, Mlodinow reported ad TRUMPTER SWAN, RED-THROATED LOON, Pacific Loon, Red-necked Grebe, 2nd cyc GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, ad Glaucous Gull, 2 ad GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULLS, ad Lesser Black-backed Gull, ad Thayer's Gull.
--At Pueblo City Park on December 11, Mlodinow reported Northern Parula just east of the park and a juv YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER in the NE corner of the park.
