While poaching on a nearby territory, Steve Stachowiak found a Brant in the
small open waterhole at Chatfield Reservoir. The waterhole is viewed by the
Handicapped Access peninsula just west of the marina. The bird was then
seen flying into the campground (Loop C - the farthest east campground loop)
and was relocated by several parties later yesterday afternoon.

This is only the second time this species has been recorded on the Denver
Christmas Bird Count (first was in 2011).
