After birding in Wyoming this morning, I visited several North Park locations. Highlights included 33 Marbled Godwits at Cowdrey Reservoir (full Cowdrey list below), 1 at 18 Island Res, and two at Fox Lake on the Arapaho refuge. Willets at Cowdrey and Fox also. A pair of Peregrines put on a great show cruising the waterfowl at 18 Island Res, one circling high while the other shot low and fast over the ducks and shorebirds. When the birds didn't flush, the falcons perched on low vegetation for awhile before making another sally. Water was low at 18 Island, but there was a nice mix of ducks including 4 Cinnamon Teal.

Marbled Godwit 33 well seen with 60X scope. In a group feeding at edge of lake. Large shorebirds with long bills slight curving upward and bicolored. orangish at base, dark tip. Cinnamon underwing linings.
