More, or less, of the same. Simply no migrants. Saw some Yellow-rumped Warblers early in the morning, up high, and then nothing. We are running the nets at the Nature Center/feeders, which are more active, in addition to the regular banding station nets. Bill Eden spent the morning at the feeder nets, catching mostly White-crowned Sparrows and one really nice young male Lazuli Bunting. Down at the banding station, I caught one Lincoln Sparrow and a couple of birds that we had banded yesterday. The breakdown (first time captures this year only):
Lincoln Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel’s 6 new, 1 banded 3/31/12
Lazuli Bunting 1
House Finch 5
