[cobirds] Three Caspian Terns at Cherry Creek State Park, Arapahoe County

This afternoon, at about 4:15, Dan and I found 3 Caspian Terns on the spit closest to the Marina, first made famous by the Ross’s gull. Also on the spit were 7 Willet and a breeding plumaged Lesser Black Backed Gull.

Two Marbled Godwit were hanging out with the 10 remaining White-Faced Ibis at the pond across from the model airplane field.  No rare Godwit were seen today.

The Southeast corner was teeming with bird life, and a group of no less than 50 Avocet were feeding there, as well as a Forster’s Tern.
