Yesterday’s spring migrants were nowhere to be seen; we had to be content today with a handful of residents and winter visitors. The large flock of Yellow-rumpeds was gone; I think we saw about 2 all morning. So, I look forward to seeing many of you this spring, but you might want to wait a few days!
Here’s today’s breakdown:
Downy Woodpecker 1
Black-capped Chickadee 1 new, 2 that were banded in Jan, 2012
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel’s 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Pink-sided 1
Red-winged Blackbird 1
