Joe Lupfer and Karen Clark report seeing a Common Loon in full breeding plumage at Tabor Lake in the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt. The bird has been there this past week and prefers the north end of Tabor Lake. Joe and Karen last saw the loon on April 28 at dusk.
There is a gate to the greenbelt at the end of a dead end street on the west side of the multi-story hotel north of Tabor Lake off of 44th that provides access to the north end of the lake.
