[cobirds] Today Red Rocks, Morrison, Bear Cr.Lake Park

Hi Cobirders, Son Bob and I birded from 10:45 am to 1:30 PM today
Saturday February 2. Went to the feeders at Red Rocks at the Trading
Post.
Saw W. Scrub Jay 10
House Finch 12 variety including one female
with white patch on its head -clear breast.
Spotted Towhee 1 or 2
Black capped Chickadee 20
Mountain Chickadee 1
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Song Sparrow 1 light colored
Juncos 20 several races

South on Red Rocks road east of here. On top of the red rock ridge
to the east was a Prairie Falcon>

Morrison Park
Dipper on a small rock in Bear Creek under the bridge.
Open water with much ice.

Bear Creek Lake Park Boat launch lot Lake frozen
Harris Sparrow ( first winter) stayed perched out in
front of brush for 5 minutes just left of the green anglers sign.

Bob saw a few more common birds in the park. Home at 2PM.

A nice Winter day - no ground hogs!
