[cobirds] Christmas Bird Counts

Hi all,

Christmas Bird Counts in Colorado start on Monday Dec 14th (count week three days before, and three days after count day) and go until Jan 5th.  There won't be the usual compilation parties, and big groups of people counting birds together.  Please help the compilers as much as possible this year, as compiling everyone's lists won't be as easy.  Make sure to keep track of your hours and miles on foot and by car, plus owling hours and miles and feeder watching hours and try to get your results to your CBC compiler as soon as possible.  I am guessing getting all the results into the CBC Website this year, will take a lot longer, though needs to be submitted by the end of February still.  You are welcome to email photos of Rare Birds you see on Colorado CBCs, as usually that is all I need for documentation purposes.  If the species is a Colorado Bird Records Committee review species, also submitted documentation to the Records Committee and copy that to me.  If you can't get a photo, a good written description of what you saw or even drawing of what you saw and why it wasn't something more regular would be helpful.

Thanks to all the Colorado Christmas Bird Count compilers and participants, good luck and have a safe Christmas Bird Count season.
