Cobirders--
Diane Carter and I saw a juvenile goshawk about 9 am Monday while hiking the Staunton Ranch Trail! Another hawk (adult?) flew away from the area of the young hawk, but we didn't get a look at it. The white eye brow and large size ruled out a Cooper's Hawk.
We also saw a male Williamson's Sapsucker about a mile up the trail.
This montane area was very birdy and lacked people early Monday morning!
