[cobirds] eBird taxonomy update starts Monday, Aug 10, 2015

Here's some news for eBird users...

"The eBird taxonomy update will take place on Monday, 10 August 2015. This happens once a year to take into account splits, lumps, name changes, and changes in the sequence of the species lists. Most of this process will take place on Monday, 10 August, with some operations continuing for a few more days (until Thursday, 14 Aug, or possible later). We will post here once the update process begins and again once it is complete. Please submit pending lists from eBird Mobile and BirdLog prior to Monday, 10 August. If you have lists on your phone or mobile device that show "Not Submitted" in green please finalize them and submit them; if they show "Processing" in gray please hit "Refresh" at the top right of the phone. If these are not submitted before the update then you may notice inconsistencies after the taxonomy updates on your phone."
