[cobirds] Black Tern/Loloff Reservoir (Weld)

Hi all

I had a single Black Tern at Loloff Reservoir/Weld accompanied by about 100+ Franklin's Gull.  There were 80+ Franklin's Gull at Weld CR 59, too.  Woods Lake drawing down nicely--big mudflat on NW corner along road.  Had two sandpiper-types trying to identify.

Weld CR 48 is just about bone dry these days.

We had Scrub Jay family at Lory State Park/Larimer on our hike.

We have Blue Grosbeak nesting in our windbreak (a first)--we've seen and heard the male all throughout the summer.  Yesterday while planting more flowers in our landscaped backyard (12,000 sq ft) we had the male and female chipping back and forth in and around windbreak then heard two nestlings.

Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn
