Birders,
Went to Chatfield to look for the SB Dowitcher. I did not see it but I am confident that I heard it about 11 am. I was out on the spit and heard a clear tu-tu-tu towards the east. The call matched the call on the Sibley App. Scanned a lot but never saw it. Other shorebirds:
Semi Plover
Semi Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Killdeer
Dougco:
Only gulls on the sand spit. 1 Cal Gull. Apparently when the water was high beavers made it to the sand spit and chewed off at least 2 trees and gnawed on several more.
