The morning started with drizzle and occasional showers, but we managed to band for a few hours today before a downpour starting around 11:00. It was very slow until right before closing, when we caught 11 Western Tanagers in two nets, bringing our total banded today to 14 birds.
-- Breakdown of new captures:
MacGillivray's Warbler - 1
Wilson's Warbler - 2
Wilson's Warbler - 2
Western Tanager - 11
We will also be having a Public Day of banding on Saturday, September 13 starting as early as 7:00. Please feel free to come by!
