[cobirds] RMBO Barr Banding Station Report, 9/9/14

Between the 6 a.m. showers and the 1 p.m. downpour, we were able to band 90 new birds today.  This is the busiest early September banding at Barr in YEARS.  A huge number of Wilson's Warblers makes the difference - ended up with 70 today!  But also a nice collection of other species:

Downy Woodpecker 1
Dusky Flycatcher 2
Grey Flycatcher 1 (FOS and probably only on season!)
Western Flycatcher 1
House Wren 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Hermit Thrush 1 (FOS)
Orange-crowned Warbler 3
Virginia's Warbler 2 (FOS)
Yellow Warbler 1
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 70
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Green-tailed Towhee 1 (FOS)

Open Wed, Thurs and Sat this week.  Rain will continue to threaten, but if it is dry enough to open we should continue to have a great supply of birds!  Closed Fri, Sun and Mon.  Then next week open Tues through Sat.
