There were a lot of birds to look at along the Arkansas River, below Pueblo Reservoir dam this morning. Wilson's Warblers were in large groups, mixed in were Yellow, Orange-crowned, a Yellow-rumped, one Townsend's Warblers, two Cassin's Vireos, a Warbling Vireo, two Hammond's Flycatcher, one Willow Flycatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, two Swainson's Thrushes, Western Tanagers, Black-headed Grosbeak, White-breasted and Red-breasted Nuthatches, Western Wood-Pewees, a Black Phoebe, two Eastern Phoebes, White-crowned and Lincoln's Sparrows, Green-tailed Towhees, also Barn, Cliff, Bank, and Violet-green Swallows flying along the River.
Pueblo Reservoir had a lot of Black and Forster's Terns.
The Annual Pueblo County Fall Bird Count is tomorrow, hopefully all the parties out counting birds will find a lot of birds.
