[cobirds] Golden Ponds, Longmont, Boulder Co. and yard birding

I spent about a hour this morning at Golden Ponds.  I was only able to spend time around the ponds north of the river.  The willows around the ponds were most active with Wilson's Warblers and Black-capped Chickadees.  I did manage one Orange-crowned Warbler  and a few Yellow-rumped Warblers.  I estimated about 200 Barn Swallows with about 10% juvenile Violet-green Swallows.  ebird flagged the 8 Northern Rough-winged Swallow that were perched in a small cottonwood between the first two ponds.  It did not flag the 2 Evening Grosbecks that were flying NW into olde town Longmont.

I did find a vireo spuh, but I had no time left to wait for it to come out in the open.

Around lunch time an imm. Calliope Hummingbird made an appearance at the agastache.  I quickly filled up a feeder, but it ignored it.  Of other note, very active Red-breasted Nuthatches, at least 3, and a small flock of Bushtits.

Bushtits have been very active in NW Longmont this summer.  Between MacIntosh Res. and south to my house, I have had flocks of 17 (6/24), 39 (7/23), and 19 (7/25).
