[cobirds] Golden Ponds, Longmont, Boulder County - Blue-headed Vireo

Greetings All

Golden Ponds in Longmont is often a birdy spot in spring, and a very dull one in fall.
Given this mornings gloom, I decided to give it a toss, and figured my decision was good when the first birds I saw were to Western Tanagers.

The undoubted highlight was a Blue-headed Vireo, seen several times next to a Cassin's, near where the bridge crosses the creek/river at Golden Ponds.

A Tennessee Warbler was my only other "eastern" vagrant

There were other interesting birds. I had my first White-throated Swifts (2) for Longmont, my first Golden Ponds Bushtits (2), a rare Boulder County Brown Thrasher, and an amazing lowland fall total of VG Swallows (265).

Other noteworthies
1 Willow Flycatcher
2 Cassin's Vireos
1 Warbling Vireo
3 Townsend's Warblers
4 Western Tanagers
87 Wilson's Warblers

Good Birding
