At Fountain Creek Regional Park this morning there were 2 Sora in the irrigation ditch south of the lower Nature Center bridge. They were both out in the open, wading and foraging in the water. I also watched two Virginia Rails below the northern bridge. Other birds around the park included a good variety of waterfowl, including Ring-necks, Lesser Scaup, Buffleheads, Hoodies, and a Wilson's Snipe sitting and preening on the edge of Rice's Pond.
