[cobirds] Re: Help with Raptor IDs

I received three direct responses and one second hand response. Thank you all for looking and getting back to me.

There seemed to be general agreement that it was a young raptor, but all of the responses were different: young Red-tailed Hawk, juvenile Golden Eagle, juvenile Swainson's Hawk, and juvenile Ferruginous Hawk. I imagine all four people would agree that a better video would have helped!

Friends of Denver Parks would like some help identifying raptors that were seen recently in Denver's Hampden Heights Park North (formerly part of Hentzel Park Designated Natural Area) - an undeveloped area along Cherry Creek beneath Cherry Creek Reservoir that the city is attempting to trade with DPS for a building downtown.

One video shows the raptor well enough so someone more adept than I am might be able to identify it. Two more videos, that may or may not be of different raptors, record calls. If you can identify the raptors, please let friendsofdenverparks@gmail.com know what they are.

Thanks for your help.
