Re: [cobirds] RFI - Great Horned Owl Nest - Westminter area

Hello all,
I was just about to send out a similar request for the Arvada area, also in Jeffco.  I have a group of kids aged 4-11 called the Kids of Olde Town (Koot) bird club that has also expressed interest in owling.  A Great Horned Nest and/or any updates on Screech Owls in the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt area (or elsewhere within a 5 mile radius) would be greatly appreciated!  We understand the issues with nesting owls and promise to follow the ABA Code of Ethics and limit our time.

Kind regards,

Hello all,

Does anyone know of an easily accessible Great Horned Owl nest in the Westminster, Jefferson County, area?  I have a group of elementary kids to take on a field outing; one of them is particularly fascinated with owls.  A nest that we can view with a scope would be perfect.

Thanks.
