This morning, just as the storm hit, I was birding around the Community Center and saw these two sandpipers in the marshy area east of 55th, between the road and the creek, just a few feet south of the entrance to the Bobolink Trail. They were foraging in the water flooding the grove of trees, along with a blue-winged teal male and several females. There may have been a couple of snipe in the area as well, but I saw them out of the corner of my eye and then couldn't relocate them to confirm.
