[cobirds] Huerfano County Update: Cattle Egret, Long-billed Curlew, Sage Thrasher, Harris's Sparrows, Pinyon Jays, Black Phoebe, Lewis's Woodpecker

It has been a very nice birding weekend here in Huerfano County.
Yesterday we found:
Black Phoebe and lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers and Ruby-crowned Kinglets were flycatching at Lathrop State Park

Today we found:
Cattle Egret at La Veta Town Lakes...the only other one we have ever seen in Huerfano County was 9 years ago!
A pair of Long-billed Curlew on Sulphur Springs Road - it's been a long time since we have seen these in our part of Huerfano County
Sage Thrasher (a new Huerfano County bird for us!) on upper Huajatolla Estates Drive
Wilson's Snipe on Huajatolla Valley Road
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher was in with some Yellow-Rumped Warblers at Lathrop State Park

In the yard:
First of the season Lincoln's Sparrow was here yesterday and today
White-crowned Sparrows
Song Sparrows
2 transitioning Harris's Sparrows
Just a few Pinyon Jays
Lewis's Woodpecker was seen on the power pole next to the house
