[cobirds] Frederick Rec Area Adamendum

I went back to Frederick Rec area this AM hoping to be able to get photos of the common loon, as it is a lovely mature bird in full breeding plumage. It, however, felt that at least half the lake should be between us at all times. However, while scanning for the loon I found the LONG-TAILED DUCK, which I missed yesterday. This bird has been at the lake all winter. It appears to be an immature male in transitional plumage. Also on my walk back to my car I found a pair of early Savannah Sparrows in the marshy stuff along the South side of the lake.
