[cobirds] Duck ID

Hello birders,

I was walking along the boulder creek and spotted a duck couple. I am not sure what it was. I notice that it had a breeding plumage similar to that of a woody duck, a tuft on its head. It did not have the same colorful face like that of a woody duck, it was just a black face with a white stripe. Also black body and white stripes. The female was also similar to that of woody duck female . I know that woody ducks aren't common in Colorado, which is why i am unable to confirm what duck it is.

Thanks,

Devnandan
