On the AVAS website, www.socobirds.org, you can find information about three field trips we are sponsoring in August. On the homepage is an announcement about our annual butterfly I.D. outing in Pueblo Mountain Park on Saturday the 18th. On the following Saturday, Aug. 25 we will have our very popular annual birding field trip to the Wet Mountain Valley in Custer County. That same day people who would prefer a sedate two-hour birdwalk at the Pueblo Nature and Raptor Center can do so with our co-sponsors, the PNRC. All these are free and open to the public.
