[cobirds] Original Watercolor to be Auctioned to benefit Denver Field Ornithologists Grant Fund.

Fellow birders and art collectors,

The original, framed watercolor of the new DFO logo, "Lark Bunting Singing on the Wing," will be up for auction on November 23, at 7:30 PM, at Ricketson Auditorium in the Denver Museum of Natural History, 2001 Colorado Blvd.

Artist Mark Yaeger (aka Radeaux) of Pueblo painted this striking 17" x 21" watercolor as the new DFO logo, and the club bought the one-of-a-kind original at a price far below its market value of $1,200, thanks to Radeaux's generosity.

Please use this link to view the watercolor:  http://dfobirds.org/ImageGallery/Meetings/Logo_framed.jpg

An auction to purchase the artwork will be held at our November 23 evening DFO meeting, and interest will be high. One need not be present to bid, as a proxy can be arranged to bid for you. As the years and decades go by, this Lark Bunting watercolor will only gain in value.

The highest bid will help fund the DFO Grants program, which supports field research and kids going to birding camps. What an opportunity for you to support this worthy cause and own this fine work of art!

For any questions, contact our auctioneer, Chuck Hundertmark by email at chundertmark8 at gmail.com.
