[cobirds] Chestnut-sided Warbler continues in El Paso Co. 11/23

The lime-green winter plumage Chestnut-sided Warbler that David Chartier found on Saturday, was still present at Fountain Creek Regional Park, El Paso County this mid-morning, seen by Chris Knight and me.  We saw it south of the original location, it was a little ways south of the Gazebo, on both sides of the trail.  I was able to get photos of it.  I think if this bird happens to be documented in December, it would be the first winter record for Colorado.  There is some very cold air coming later this week, so who knows if it will stay or not, though hopefully people will look for it Tuesday and after, and if it is found, submit a record on it to the Colorado Bird Records Committee.  This part of Fountain Creek Regional Park seems to be a winter warbler magnet, with Black-throated Blue, Pine, Ovenbird, Northern Parula all being found in December in past years.

A female Greater Scaup and a Snow Goose were at Big Johnson Reservoir, El Paso as well.
