--3 Tundra Swans were reported by Georgiah Hartman at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR on November 21.
--A Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by John Breitsch at Lake Ladora at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR on November 21.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--On November 8, Chris Rurik reported 2 scoters at Cherry Creek SP, one of which was black.  Later Glenn Walbek  and Bob Righter reported two Black Scoters (ad f, 1st yr m) and a Pacific Loon at Cherry Creek SP.  On November 9, Doug Kibbe reported Black Scoters and Pacific Loon at Cherry Creek SP.  On November 10, Tom Behnfield reported Pacific Loon and 3 Surf Scoters at Cherry Creek SP.  On November 13, Gregg Goodrich reported Pacific Loon at Cherry Creek SP.
--On November 14, Bill Kaempfer reported ad Lesser Black-backed Gull at Cherry Creek SP.
--At Aurora Reservoir on November 14, Bill Kaempfer reported 1-st cyc Thayer's Gull and ad Lesser Black-backed Gull.
--On November 17, David Suddjian reported 2 f-type Surf Scoters at South Platte Reservoir.
--On November 21, Glenn Walbek reported Red-throated Loon at Cherry creek from Lake Loop.

BENT COUNTY:
--A Bay-breasted Warbler was reported by Mark Peterson at Hasty Campground on November 8.
--On November 16, Duane Nelson reported that he has had f-type PURPLE FINCH, m Red-bellied Woodpecker, Curve-billed Thrasher, and Canyon Towhees visit his feeders in Las Animas.  Birders are welcome if you notify Duane in advance at dnelson1 ATcenturytel.net  On November 19, Duane Nelson reported that the f-type PURPLE FINCH returned and the other birds continue.  
--On November 20, Duane Nelson reported a Least Bittern on the N side of CR JJ at the low spot West of CR 20.  Please watch from vehicle.  On November 21 Duane Nelson, Jane Stump, and Janeal Thompson reported Least Bittern on CR JJ
between CR 19 and CR 20.
--A Tundra Swan was reported by Jane Stulp and Janeal Thompson on Verhoeff Reservoir which is private on November 21.
Observe bird from highway.  Trespassers will be prosecuted.

BOULDER COUNTY: 
--On November 11, Peter Burke found ARCTIC TERN which was confirmed by John Vanderpoel and also seen by David Dowell and Christian Nunes.
--On November 14, Steve Frye reported Carolina Wren at Sombrero Marsh.  On November 15, Scott Manwaring reported Carolina Wren at Sombrero Marsh.
--On November 19, Christian Nunes reported 14 Tundra Swans at Valmont Reservoir in Boulder.  On November 22, Bill Kaempfer was reported at Leggett Reservoir at the Valmont complex.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--4 Red-necked Grebes were reported by Glenn Walbek and 1 was reported by Bill Kaempfer at Chatfield on November 14.
--3 Red-necked Grebes and an ad Lesser Black-backed Gull were reported by David Suddjian at Chatfield SP from Handicapped Fisherman Platform on November 17.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Brandon Percival from the Handicapped Fisherman Platform on November 19.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Glenn Walbek from Handicapped Fisherman Platform on November 21.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by David Suddjian from Handicapped Fisherman Platform on November 23.
--8 Tundra Swans were reported by Mary Burger at Rueter-Hess Reservoir (restricted access) on November 22.

DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
--6 Tundra Swans were reported by David Suddjian at Chatfield SP.

EAGLE COUNTY:
--4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (3m, 1f)  were reported by Leon Thurmon at Springpark Reservoir on November 8.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--2 Field Sparrows were reported by Jesse and Renee Casias on  Bar 10 Road on November 8.
--An EASTERN TOWHEE was reported by Jeannie Mitchell and Aaron Shipe at Chico Basin Banding Station (fee area) on November 13.
--A Varied Thrush was reported by Aaron Shipe and Jeannie Mitchell at Chico Basin Banding Station (fee ares) on November 14.
--On November 15, Sharon Milito observed an INCA DOVE in her yard most of the day.  NOTE:    On November 19, Sharon Milito has requested no more visits to her yard to see the INCA DOVE until further notice.  The birds are stressed and not showing themselves.  Not only the INCA DOVE but her other usual yard birds as well.  She will evaluate the situation after giving the birds a rest and see whether or not and when to resume visits.  
--On November 21, David Chartier reported Winter Wren and 1-st winter F Chestnut-sided Warbler at Mile Marker 18 at Fountain Creek Regional Park.  On November 22, Gwen Moore reported Chestnut-sided at Warbler Fountain Creek RP.  On November 23, Christ Knight reported Chestnut-sided Warbler at Fountain Creek RP.
--6 Tundra Swans (2 ad, 4 juv) were reported by Bill Maynard and Aaron Driscoll at Big Johnson Reservoir on November 22.

GUNNISON COUNTY:
--On November 21, Jason Beason reported 30 Barrow's Goldeneyes (only 3 females) at Blue Mesa Reservoir east of Hwy 149 bridge.  On November 22, Coen Dexter reported 35 Barrow's Goldeneyes (28m 7F) at Blue Mesa Reservoir.
--On November 21, Coen Dexter reported 1m Barrow's Goldeneye at Taylor Park Reservoir.

HUERFANO COUNTY:
--3 Tundra Swans (1 ad, 2 juv) were reported by Polly Wren Neldner at Lathrop SP on November 21.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On October 31, Mark Chavez reported Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield Swim Beach.  On November 1, Dean Shoup reported Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield Swim Beach.  On November 3, Chris Rurik reported Red-necked Grebe near the Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 7, Bill Schmoker reported Red-necked Grebe from Swim Beach at Chatfield and Bob Spencer reported Red-necked Grebe on Jefferson county side of Chatfield.  On November 8, Norm Lewis reported 1 Red-necked Grebe near Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 8 from the Heronry Overlook Dick Schottler reported 3 Red-necked Grebes.  On November 9, Joey Kellner reported 3 Red-necked Grebes (2 ad, 1 imm) near the Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 10, Phil Lyon reported 3 Red-necked Grebes at Chatfield.  On November 14, Bill Kaempfer reported 3 Red-necked Grebes at Chatfield.  On November 17, David Suddjian reported 2 Red-necked Grebes near the N Boat Ramp at Chatfield.
--On November 3, Chris Rurik reported 2 Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 5, Doug Kibbe reported 1 Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 7, Steve Stachowiak reported 1 Surf Scoters on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 8, Norm Lewis and Scott Somershoe reported 2 Surf Scoters on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 9, Phil Lyon and John Vanderpoel reported 2 Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 12, Michael Kiessig and Kate Frost reported 2 Surf Scoters on the Jefferson County side of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 14, Bill Kaempfer reported 2 Surf Scoters at South Platte Reservoir on the Jefferson County side.  On November 17, David Suddjian reported 2 f-type Surf Scoters at South Platte Reservoir.  On November 23, David Suddjian reported 2 f-type Surf Scoters at South Platte Reservoir.
--On November 17, Peter Pereira photographed a BROWN-CRESTED FLYCATCHER at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
--2 Acorn Woodpeckers were reported by Jason St. Pierre at Rafter J Subdivision on November 12.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Robert Beauchamp at Gateway Park Pond (Walmart Pond) at I-25 and Harmony Road on November 14.
--On November 16, David Wade reported Surf Scoter and Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.  On November 21, Austin Hess and Nick Komar reported Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.  On ovember 22,  Brandon Nooner reported Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.
--A Tennessee Warbler was reported by Dave Leatherman at PERC (Plant Environmental Research Center in the SW corner of the CSU Campus on November 19 and was seen by David Wade.  On November 20, Nick Komar, Sean Walters, Irene Fortune, and Bobbie Tilmant reported Tennessee Warbler at PERC.  On November 21, Austin Hess reported Tennessee Warbler at PERC.  On November 22, Sean Walters, Jesse Casias, and Adam Vesely reported Tennessee Warbler at PERC.  On November 23, Ira Sanders and Dave Leatherman reported Tennessee Warbler at PERC.
--5 Tundra Swans were reported by John Shenot at N Poudre # 4 on November 21.
--On November 21, an AMERICAN WOODCOCK was found by John Shenot at PERC on the CSU Campus.  The woodcock was seen by Andy Bankert, Dave Leatherman, and Austin Hess.
--8 Trumpeter Swans were reported by Jeff Birek flying over Horsetooth Reservoir on November 22.
--A Tundra Swan was reported by Sean Walters at Douglas Reservoir on November 22.
--A Thayer's Gull was reported by Sean Walters at Horsetooth Reservoir on November 22.
--On November 22, Brandon Nooner reported Tundra Swan and Pacific Loon at Timnath Reservoir.
-- Greater Roadrunner was reported by Nick Komar and David Wade at Lory SP on November 23.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
--A Winter Wren was reported by David Suddjian along CR 11 at Horse Creek about 0.175 mile south of where the road crosses the creek just S of Elbert County Line on November 16.

LOGAN COUNTY:
--A White-winged Scoter was reported by Kathy Mihm Dunning at North Sterling Reservoir on November 22.
--On November 23, Steve Mlodinow reported Red-headed Woodpecker at Red Lion SWA.
--A Field Sparrow was reported by Steve Mlodinow at Tamarack Ranch SWA on November 23.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Bewick's Wren was reported by roaring Fork Audubon at Cheney Reservoir on November 14
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Mike Henwood at Redland Parkway Pond on November 21.
--2 Tundra Swans were reported by Ron Lambeth at Cheney Reservoir on November 21.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--At Jackson Lake SP on November 20, Norm Lewis reported Pacific Loon and Red-throated Loon.

OTERO COUNTY:
--A Long-tailed Duck was reported by Mark Peterson at Lake Cheraw on November 8.

OURAY COUNTY:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Kent Nelson at Ridgway Reservoir on November 9.

PARK COUNTY:
--On November 9 at Eleven Mile Reservoir, David Suddjian reported Red-necked Grebe and 1 m Barrow's Goldeneye.
--8 Brown-capped Rosy-Finches were reported by David Suddjian in Jefferson on November 9.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by David Suddjian at the intersection of CR 22 and CR 98 on November 9.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On November 11, Brandon Percival reported a Red--necked Grebe from West Fisherman's Road at Pueblo Reservoir.  On November 12, Brandon Percival refound Red-necked Grebe from West Fisherman's Road at Pueblo reservoir.
--On November 21 along the Arkansas River below Pueblo Reservor Dam, Brandon Percival reported Black Phoebe, 2 Winter Wren, and 2 Rusty Blackbirds.
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Brandon Percival at the South Shore Marina at Pueblo Reservoir on November 22.

ROUTT COUNTY:
--24 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Tom Litteral on Lake Catamount on November 13.  On November 15, JoAnn Riggle reported Barrow's Goldeneyes at Lake Catamount.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by JoAnn Riggle at Chuck Lewis SWA on November 15.
--On November 21, Tom Litteral reported 82 Barrow's Goldeneyes at Stagecoach Reservoir.
--4 Tundra Swans were reported by Tom Litteral at Steamboat Lake Meadows Picnic Area on November 22.

SAN JUAN COUNTY:
--A white-morph GRYFALCON was reported by Eric Hough at Molas Pass Summit on November 14.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
--A f type Surf Scoter was reported by George Steele at Miramonte Reservoir on November 12.  On November 13, Coen Dexter refound the Surf Scoter on Miramonte Reservoir.

SUMMIT COUNTY:
--4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 2f) were reported by Chris Goulart on a pond near the Blue River in the Silverthorne area on November 8.
--On November 14, Joey Kellner, Norm Erthal, and Chris Gilbert reported 85 Sandhill Cranes at Silverthorne Water Treatment Plant and 150 Sandhill Cranes at Dillon Reservoir at the Frisco Marina.

WELD COUNTY:
--On November 7, Carl Bendorf reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir.  On November 8, Mark Duchesne reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir.  Tina Jones reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir seen from CR 26 (north side) on November 8.  On November 9, Steve Mlodinow reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir.  On November 11, Steve Mlodinow reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir.
--On November 8, Mark Chavez reported White-eyed Vireo and Red-bellied Woodpecker at Crow Valley CG.  On November 9 at Crow Valley CG, Dave Leatherman reported White-eyed Vireo and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--4+ Lapland Longspurs were reported by Gary Lefko at the pond at the intersection of CR 124 and CR 75 on November 15.

The next monthly meeting of Denver Field Ornithologists will be on Monday, November 23 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  DFO Historian Kris Haglund and Liz Clancy will present a program "Won't you come hom Bill Bailey?"  about Alfre M Bailey, ornithologist and 2nd director of the Museum.  Also the original, framed watercolor of the new DFO log "Lark Bunting Singing on the Wing"  will be up for auction.
   Enter the museum at the north side at the security entrance and them head overt to Ricketson Auditorium.  Auction and meeting starts at 7:30 pm.

DFO Field Trips: 
The DFO Field Trip for Tuesday, November 23 will be the Annual Barrow's Goldeneye Count to Silverthorne led by Paul Slingsby (paslingsby AT comcast.net or 303-422-3728).  Meet at 0800 at the RTD Park-n-Ride located a Union Blvd and W 2nd Place.  From US 6 go south to the second Stoplight.  Turn left and proceed toward the end of W 2nd Place.  Look for group at the SE corner of the lot.  Register onlne or contact leader.
   Spotting scopes and 2-way radio s will be useful.  Dress for cold, windy weather.  Insulated, windproof leg coverings and warm boots are recommded.  Bring water and snacks, we will find a warm place to buy lunch.  Plane to be back at meeting place by dark.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 28 will be to Fountain Creek Regional Park led by Wendy Wibbens and Sue Summers (wibbwj AT aol.com303-330-1175).  Meet at 0730 at Castle ROck King Soopers parking lot (NW corner of lot), 100 Founders Parkway (I-25, Exit 184).  OR meet at 0830 at Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Pepper Grass Lane, Fountain Co 80817.  Take Exit 132A from I-25, go east on Hwy 16 for .5 mile and south on Hwy 87 for .5 mile to Pepper Grass Lane.  
   This is a half-day trip to search of ducks, raptors and a variety of songibrds.  Wear layers and strong boots.  Bring Water and snacks.  Should end about noon and return to Castle Rock about 1300.  Register online or contact leader
