[cobirds] Little Blue Heron, Firestone Gravel Pits, Weld County

Hi All,      I stopped at the Firestone Gravel Pits this morning to see if the Common Loon was present for a third day running. It was absent, but an immature Little Blue Heron was present, standing beside a large group of Double crested Cormorants in one of the 2 smaller pits on the west side of CO rd. 9 1/2. Bill Kaempfer's mention 2 days past of the Firestone Pits as a possible Little Blue  spot was a,"bingo". Good Summer Birding,       Carl Starace,  Niwot
