[cobirds] Sloan Lake "Blue" Ross' Goose, interesting Raven Denver, CO

All,

There is a 'blue' ross' goose in with the cackling geese in the field on the N. side of the lake along Byron (the one-way road).

I finally got my first raven for the park. The bird first appeared from 22nd Ave being harrassed by a crow. The large size was apparent immediately. The wedge-shaped tail was missing, however, but closer looks later showed a lot of wear on the tail. It eventually settled down with with some crows in the soccer fields on the S. side of the park.

I can't quite seem to make it a Chihuahuan, but I did see very light feathers in the neck, and while the bristles on the bill came 1/2way down, the bird seemed generally smaller than a common/northern raven.
