Another day, another goose...
This time an immature gr. white-fronted in the NW corner of the lake with some Canada's. Orange legs, not too much speckling on the belly, and basically matching Sibley's "juvenille" illustration... so... not a hybrid!
I almost ran the thing over on my way to the store... it was flushed by some people before heading out into the lake to loaf on the ice. I went back for my binoculars and got a good look at it.
