[cobirds] Around Longmont this morning

Greetings All

Hit a few reservoirs before the winds kicked up
Union (WELD) was still fabulously birdy, with many gulls, mergansers and goldeneye.
Highlights there included:

3rd year (ongoing) GLAUCOUS GULL
4 Thayer's Gulls (3 adults, 1 juv)
1 PACIFIC LOON
1 Common Loon

Ish Reservoir (Boulder/Larimer) was unfrozen and unoccupied. Neither hunters nor birds were present. Weirdly bird less
Terry Reservoir (Boulder) was an ice cube, frozen solid. Easier to explain lack of birds there
Clover Basin Reservoir (Boulder) had some open water, a fair number of birds, mostly coots, nothing of note
Lagermen Reservoir (Boulder) is wide open and had many birds including 3 Snow x Cackling Geese (hanging with a white morph Snow Goose) and a female LONG-TAILED DUCK. The duck was at the western tip of the res.
McIntosh (Boulder) is mostly iced over, but the open area had a nice concentration of birds, mostly RB Gulls and goldeneye. No LT Duck (which maybe went to Lagerman?)

Good Birding
