This morning I spotted a Sandhill Crane in a cut hay field adjacent to MacKenzie Ave. Though we usually get a few of these cranes during migration there are usually several of them and usually not this late in November. I drove further looking for other cranes-none found- and when I returned a few minutes later it was gone and I did not see it again. Photos on my Birds and Nature blog.
