Hello everyone,
Sorry for the late post. Yesterday Glenn Walbek Gene Rutherford and I saw the Grand Junction Costa's Hummingbird. Amazing to see any hummer on 22 November! On the way back to Denver we stopped at Rifle Gap SP and saw the 3 Black Scoters and Long-tailed Duck reported previously. I find this influx of scoters this year to be pretty amazing. It seems like every body of water in the state has one or two. It will be interesting top see how many of each species occurred when all is said and done. I don't recall any tear previously that had these kinds of numbers. Let's hope there is an eider or Harlequin mixed in with them somewhere!
