Several of us went to Flagler this morning following Doug Kibbe's report from yesterday. There were very few birds to be found but one was a juvi, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher. Good Job Doug, Loch, Ira, Joe, Mark, and David! This elusive flycatcher was structurally similar to a Least Flycatcher, with short tail, rounded head etc... but was very yellow underneath including the throat. Photos can be seen at the link below. Others also photographed this bird so look for more pics soon.
Going back in time, yesterday Loch and I experienced some of the same birding phenomenon as others who reported from out east. Last Chance and the Prewitt inlet canal grove held multiple Willows Flycatchers, Blue-headed Vireos, Chestnut-sided Warblers, Nashville Warblers, American Redstarts, MacGillivray's Warblers, Wilson's Warblers and an Alder Flycatcher, Black-and-White Warbler and Townsend's Warbler.
