[cobirds] Boulder County: Blackpoll Warbler, Brown Thrasher

Hello, Birders.

Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County, continues to be birdy. Yesterday afternoon, Saturday, September 14th, Hannah and I heard and saw a Blackpoll Warbler. This morning, Sunday, September 15th, I saw a Brown Thrasher. Also a Willow Flycatcher, a MacGillivray's Warbler, and numerous Wilson's Warblers. Waneka Lake had Franklin's Gulls yesterday evening, and Greenlee Reservoir has Wood Ducks, Pied-billed Grebes, and American Coots. Barn Swallows galore.

The Blackpoll and the thrasher were at the base of the short path that goes up to the observation deck at Greenlee Resevoir.

(It probably goes without saying, but the Greenlee/Waneka complex is open and safe, although soggy. Watch the flooded areas marked with orange cones, and be aware of all the flooded-out wildlife, especially western chorus frogs, earthworms, and menacing crayfish. A crayfish was terrorizing joggers and a dog this morning.)
