[cobirds] Gadwall x Pintail continues at Boulder Reservoir (Boulder Co.)

The GADWALL X NORTHERN PINTAIL was again hanging out in the muddy cove on the northwest side of the reservoir this morning.  I saw it with a scope after walking a short distance south from the trailhead near the bend in 55th Street on the north side of the lake.  The duck has a long bill, white ear patches, a pale lower-front portion of the face, and a pale neck ring.

There are also numerous horned grebes, some spiffy Franklin's gulls in breeding plumage, and some recently-arrived osprey (3 this morning) in the area.
