I birded LaSalle/Kersey-area yesterday. BTW First time I saw the new
Kersey Gas Plant along WCR 50/51 takes up 1/8 - 1/4 acre of one-mile
section. A very large operation.
Loloff Reservoir-frozen

Killdeer - 2
WCR 59 Marsh-Frozen except for a small sliver of water
Lots of spring ducks and geese no Eurasian Wigeon
Latham Reservoir-throngs of birds and great views (no heatwaves with
low temp) on south and east. On southside snow weighted down cattails
offering views of the shoreline. Res was mostly open with ice ring
along shores where birds were concentrating. Austin is right about
marsh area when things thaw there will be lots of water this spring--
if it doesn't get too "droughty" on us ... :-) ... the pond area on
south near east end of WCR 48 is very large already even though frozen
yesterday.
