Despite falling snow, St. Vrain State Park yielded 9 Tree Swallows, 2 Greater Yellowlegs and a Wilson's Snipe.
Across I 25 on the Firestone gravel pond, the two Red-necked Grebes remained along with a couple of Horned Grebes that allowed an interesting comparison of plumage and size.

We were unable to find the long-tailed duck, which had been at Frederick Reservoir, but in its place was a male Blue-winged Teal.
