Sat AM 9am at south-east corner of the lake in Cherry Creek State Park we saw a nonbreeding adult phalarope on the sandbar and through the scope it had black or dark legs. We started to go closer when 2 Vultures flew in and landed on the sand point and all the gulls, killdeer, etc flushed and rearranged themselves. We could not refind the phalarope which we think was a Red-necked Phalarope. Hopefully someone else can check it out.
