[cobirds] Birds Barbecue

Well, it is actually a barbecue  FOR  the birds.
An example is speaker Jim Enderson, who was a key contributor to the saving of peregrine falcons and other birds, through his documentation of the dangers of DDT. Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory's annual BBQ for the Birds is THIS SATURDAY, August 25 at the Environmental Learning Center at Barr Lake. Come see bird banding.
Take bird hikes with expert biologists. Learn about planting native habitats and gardens, photographing and sketching wildlife, and more information about black swifts and owls. Your kids will love the falcon-themed games, live raptors and banding.
What does it feel like to hold a small bird in your hand? You will love the music, exhibitors, and silent & live auctions of valuable donations. All of you will enjoy the catered picnic lunch.
Learn more at www.rmbo.org or contact Rachel at 303-659-4348 extension 17.
Come and Enjoy! For the Birds!
Larry Modesitt
Chairman, Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory
